Death threats against "Betimi për Drejtësi” journalists, Prishtinë, 29.07.2023
Alberta Hashani, a journalist, and Dituron Aliu, a camera operator, were threatened with their lives while working on an investigation that is expected to be published in September.
According to the editorial office of "Betimi për Drejtësi," the journalist and the camera operator were threatened by a salesman of illegal goods.
Based on news reports, the camera operator first got a threatening message indicating he owed him some blood.
“Komt.qet..shum.shpet.umk.pre.bes.um.ki.borq.ne.qak”, (original message).
Meanwhile, the same person called the journalist to warn her that she and the cameraman will be placed on the utility pole.
"I'll find you and that boy and suffocate you both beneath the power pole. Do you hear what I'm saying, idiots?"
The Association of Journalists of Kosovo is highly disturbed by the reporting of colleagues and calls on Kosovo Police and competent authorities to investigate the case as soon as possible.
