Threat Against T7 Team, Pejë, 19.2.2025

AJK has expressed concern over the obstruction of the T7 team by the manager of the Counting Center in Pejë, Abdurrahim Haxhisefa. According to reports, journalist Arianitë Zhegrova and cameraman Gjens Karaqi were stopped and hindered in carrying out their duties, and were even threatened with having their camera broken.

This act represents an unacceptable attack on press freedom and the work of journalists, who have the responsibility to inform the public about important processes such as vote counting. What is even more concerning is that this incident occurred in the presence of the chairman of the Central Election Commission (KQZ), Kreshnik Radoniqi, with no intervention or measures taken on his part.

AJK calls on the Central Election Commission to take action against the individual in question and to ensure a safe environment for journalists during the coverage of electoral processes.
