Threats against the life and physical safety of journalists, Valon Rashiti, Prishtinë, 08.10.2025
The Association of Journalists of Kosovo (AJK) has been informed of a serious threat made against Vox Kosova journalist Valon Rashiti by Lulzim Berisha, the leader of the Kosovo National Team supporters group.
According to Rashiti’s account, during a public ceremony, Berisha approached him and said: “I’ll drag you along the ground — I’ll tear you apart like a frog.”
The AJK strongly condemns this public threat, which poses a serious risk to the journalist’s physical safety and undermines his professional integrity. The association will closely monitor the complaint Rashiti has filed with the relevant security and judicial institutions.
Such threatening language is entirely unacceptable and serves to intimidate journalists and obstruct them from carrying out their work. The AJK calls on the Football Federation of Kosovo (FFK) to clearly and publicly distance itself from this behavior.
