Obstruction of Duty, Ferizaj, 9.2.2025

On Sunday in Ferizaj, after 10:00 PM, journalists Saranda Aliu and Gremisa Latifi were obstructed from performing their duties by activists of the LVV. The two attempted to go to the headquarters of this political party, but one of the members resisted, telling them: "You don't belong here," and even closed the office door on them. The same individual went outside and alerted others who were celebrating, saying, "Oh people, they are from Klan." As a result, they were attacked with shouting, insults, and offensive language, making it impossible for them to complete their work.

Case description On Sunday in Ferizaj, after 10:00 PM, journalists Saranda Aliu and Gremisa Latifi were obstructed while reporting near the headquarters of the Vetëvendosje Movement. As they attempted to approach, one of the activists resisted, telling them, "You don’t belong here," and closed the office door on them. The same person then went outside and informed those present, shouting, "Oh people, these are from Klan." This caused an intense reaction, with shouting, insults, and offensive language from the crowd, making it impossible for the journalists to continue their work.
