Obstructing the work of journalists, Prishtinë, 27.07.2023

Journalists, cameramen, and photojournalists reporting from the Assembly of Kosovo have reported that during Thursday's session, they were confronted with an obvious restriction of performing their duties from the Assembly of Kosovo's grounds.

A bar has been placed above where the media reports, preventing the media from getting a complete view of the Assembly and the deputies.

The AJK strongly opposes this decision, which seeks to make it harder for journalists to provide professional and comprehensive coverage of the Assembly. The decision also undermines the transparency of the work of the people's elected representatives.

The AJK asks the Assembly to take steps to make journalists' work easier, as the Assembly's reporting is in the public's interest.

As a result of this decision, the media left the Assembly at the end of today's session.
