Attacks on media outlets and organizations, Kallxo.com and Koha.net, Prishtinë, 10.08.2026
The Association of Journalists of Kosovo (AJK) strongly condemns the public targeting of several media outlets in a statement published today by Prishtina Mayor Përparim Rama (LDK).
The language used is unacceptable and inflammatory, and appears intended to intimidate media outlets and journalists from reporting on issues of public interest.
AJK calls on Mr. Rama to respond transparently and openly to the issues and topics covered by all media outlets. Such attacks undermine media freedom in Kosovo and are aimed at discouraging journalists from holding senior public officials accountable.
They also provide a public platform for hundreds of other individuals to attack and denigrate journalists and media outlets online. This form of communication must therefore stop.
