Attempted Attack against Periskopi Team in Zveçan, 29.05.2023

Today, two masked individuals attempted to attack the Periskopi team in Zvecan.

In a photograph sent to the Association of Journalists of Kosovo - AJK, it can be seen that a colleague's shirt was torn as a result of the attempted assault, fortunately without any injuries.

The Association of Journalists of Kosovo is deeply concerned about the situation created for the media and journalists reporting from these municipalities and urges colleagues to exercise extra precaution during reporting. Furthermore, AJK recommends that colleagues follow the instructions of the Kosovo Police officials present there.

AJK also calls on NATO and EULEX to ensure the safety of journalists and allow them to report without hindrance.
