Denigrating language toward, Bojan Tomic, Shtërpce, 08.07.2022
The mayor of the Municipality of Shtërpce, Dalibor Jevtiq, has used denigrating language towards the journalist of the public broadcaster, RTK2, Bojan Tomic.
The journalist informed AJK that on the day of the action of Kosovo Police in the Municipality of Shtërpce, he waited in line to get a statement from Mayor Jevtiq about this action, but he refused to do so and continued insulting the journalist.
"Don't ask me. I can give statements to all of them, but not to you. You are not a journalist, you spread lies and disinformation. You are not a journalist. I'll talk for everyone, but not to you", Tomic quotes mayor Jevtiq.
According to the RTK2 journalist, the reason for Jevtiqi's behavior can be related to one of the stories he made about the drinking water in this municipality.
AJK condemns the language by Mayor Jevtiq, and reminds elected public officials that it is their duty to provide information in the public interest.
