The Association of Journalists of Kosovo (AJK) has been informed about the lawsuit filed by journalist Naim Kryeziu and camera operator Fatos Rakovica against their former workplace, Kanal 10 (Java Multimedia Production).
Both stated in a Facebook post reaction that they "were arbitrarily dismissed from work, were not paid their last two salaries, and their pension contributions were not paid" during their time working for this media outlet.
AJK supports their legal battle and considers the publication of this case as an important step in the ongoing efforts of media workers to seek enforcement of the Labor Law in Kosovo.
AJK encourages journalists, camera operators, photojournalists, and other media workers to demand respect for their employment contracts and the obligations arising from them, according to the Labor Law of the Republic of Kosovo.
AJK will offer support to all journalists and media workers so that alleged violations of contracts are addressed to the Labor Inspectorate and local courts.
