Attacks on Media and Media Organizations, Pristina, January 25, 2025
The Association of Journalists of Kosovo (AGK) has been informed about the obstruction faced by a team from Nacionale newspaper while covering an electoral rally of the Vetëvendosje political party in the city of Malisheva.
Several participants and Vetëvendosje officials obstructed journalist Besarta Hoti and cameraman Kushtrim Zenuni, including by addressing them with the phrase: "You are worse than Serbia!"
Additionally, a Vetëvendosje supporter named Filiz Mustafa publicly attacked and denigrated journalist Besarta Hoti on Facebook due to her coverage of Vetëvendosje rallies in various cities.
AGK considers such actions unacceptable, as they seriously endanger the physical safety of journalists from this media outlet.
AGK calls on Vetëvendosje to ensure the necessary conditions for all interested media to cover its electoral rallies without obstruction.
