Actual attacks on journalists Qëndresa Tërshani and Arben Restelica, Ferizaj, 07.05.2026

The Association of Journalists of Kosovo (AJK) strongly condemns the physical attack on a Klan Kosova news crew in the village of Prelez e Muhaxherëve, near Ferizaj, on Thursday afternoon.

In footage released from the scene, a man can be seen striking cameraman Arben Restelica on the back with a stick. Journalist Qëndresa Tërshani and the cameraman have reported the incident to the police.

Restelica was filming in a public area when the attack occurred. Such acts are unacceptable, endanger the physical safety of journalists, and obstruct the free work of media professionals and independent journalism.

The AJK calls on the Kosovo Police and the Prosecutor’s Office to take immediate action to identify and arrest the attacker and ensure that justice is served in this case.
