Threats against media outlets and organizations, Vox Kosova, Prishtinë, 01.04.2026
The Association of Journalists of Kosovo (AJK) is deeply concerned about a new wave of cyberattacks targeting the media outlet Vox Kosova. AJK has been informed that the outlet’s Facebook account has recently been shut down twice, its TikTok account twice, and its Instagram account once.
AJK strongly condemns these attacks against Vox Kosova, which undermine media freedom and freedom of expression in Kosovo, and aim to obstruct the free flow of information.
AJK calls on the Kosovo Police and the Prosecutor’s Office to carry out the necessary investigations to identify and hold those responsible accountable.
It also calls for increased cooperation with the relevant authorities in Germany, where the attacks are believed to have originated.
AJK stands in full support and solidarity with Vox Kosova, as well as with other media outlets that have recently faced disruptions in their work as a result of these attacks.
