AJK condemns the obstruction of the 'Nacionale' team's work during the Vetëvendosje rally in Malishevë and the lynching of journalist Besarta Hoti
The Association of Journalists of Kosovo (AJK) has been informed about the obstruction faced by the "Nacionale" newspaper team while carrying out their work during a political rally of the Vetëvendosje party in the city of Malishevë.
Several participants and officials of Vetëvendosje obstructed journalist Besarta Hoti and cameraman Kushtrim Zenuni, among other things, by addressing them with the phrase: “You are worse than Serbia!”
Additionally, a supporter of Vetëvendosje, named Filiz Mustafa, publicly attacked and lynched journalist Besarta Hoti on Facebook for covering Vetëvendosje rallies in several cities.
AJK considers such actions unacceptable and a serious threat to the physical safety of the journalists from this media outlet.
AJK calls on Vetëvendosje to provide the necessary conditions for all interested media to cover its electoral rallies and not obstruct them.
