RTK Management Statement Amounts to Public Intimidation of Six Editors
The Association of Journalists of Kosovo (AGK) has expressed concern over the public intimidation of six RTK editors through a statement issued by RTK management.
In its statement issued earlier today, management stated that “any unfounded statements that spread misinformation and damage the integrity of the institution will no longer be tolerated, and all such actions will be addressed in accordance with RTK regulations and applicable law.”
AGK regards this as an explicit threat of disciplinary action against the six editors, who publicly opposed what they described as their arbitrary removal from hosting duties at the Public Broadcaster.
The Association strongly condemns what it sees as arbitrary actions and censorship by the current management and continues to support the six editors in their call for the withdrawal of the decision that removed them from leading the broadcaster’s news programs.
