This meeting, as a continuation of the first one, provided an opportunity to reflect on previous conclusions and to develop more concrete ideas for strengthening the network of journalists and improving reporting on sensitive inter-community issues.

Through open discussions, participants shared their experiences, focusing on ways to overcome narratives that deepen ethnic divisions. The meeting highlighted the importance of cooperation and dialogue among journalists.

A key part of the meeting was the group work session, where participants presented their proposals for the most effective ways to enhance collaboration among key stakeholders in the media sector, including AJK, the Press Council of Kosovo, the Independent Media Commission, the OSCE Mission in Kosovo, and UNMIK’s Media Sector.

The meeting was further enriched by a session on bilingual podcasting in Albanian and Serbian with Leart Hoxha and Zorcia Vorgucic, which was met with great interest. Hoxha and Vorgucic spoke about their professional approach to producing a show featuring topics and guests from the two largest ethnic communities in Kosovo.

In conclusion, a summary of the key points was prepared, and next steps were identified to strengthen interethnic cooperation in building a more open and informed society.

We thank all participants for their fruitful discussions and engagement. This project is supported by UNMIK – United Nations Mission in Kosovo.
